Community projects
i believe we all deserve simple, accessible tools for relaxation and wellbeing, life can be pretty overwhelming, sometimes, but we can slow down, breathe and connect with others who understand that.
These sessions are not just about breathing techniques - they are about community, we are creating a space where we can support each others wellbeing,
Breathe Carterton
Breathe and Bloom - Functional breathwork for parent and baby/toddlers
This isn't breathwork where you need your child to sit quietly or behave perfectly!
Quite the opposite.
Your baby or toddler can wriggle, crawl, play, feed, cuddle, make noise or need your attention. This is about finding a few minutes to breathe and relax while being a parent — not escaping from being one.
We'll spend around 15 minutes practising simple relaxing and regukating breathing techniques for you, followed by some practical information and tips about supporting healthy breathing for both you and your child as they grow.
Little things can make a difference
from encouraging nasal breathing to something as simple as helping children learn to blow their nose effectively so they can keep their nasal airway clear and open.
A little moment of calm in the week
A place where you can take a breath, learn something useful and leave feeling just a little more regulated
A simple way to connect, recharge and support your wellbeing
We will meet at the bandstand on the Rec in Carterton then decide on the best spot to sit for our outdoor session while the weather allows for it, because getting time in the daylight is an incredibly important physiological need.
For the winter I hope to find a suitable indoor venue.
these sessions are suitable for all, please bring a mat or blanket for the grass.
Currently sessions run every Tuesday during term time at 10am, on Carterton recreation ground.
Sessions are free, but booking is required
check my Facebook page for session dates or submit a contact form for more information.
